Content strategy is the vision of an organization that guides its future marketing, social media, and web creation – among other things, Content is the visual and textual information available on your website. Common areas that almost all sites have to showcase content includes blogs, contact us pages, brand identity pages, and images that are on your website. It also includes what you write for offsite brand related and controlled channels such as social media, sponsored content, press releases, partnerships and more.
One core focus for all content strategies should be to educate and inform users regarding a websites products and/or services. This is typically done through the expression of a brand’s expertise in its market. These could include things like white papers, case studies, infographic supported articles, blog posts and, often will have a mix of serious and straight-forward answers, but also can (and often should) include some humor. The content should be seen as an extension of the brand’s personality and knowledge.
